At first I thought I had 2 of the same card in the same pack but then I noticed the different colored foil in the bottom left.

Here's a 4th different Stafford card I've pulled so far. Unfortunately this one's dented badly on both edges and has a crease right up the middle.

The 4th card in this pack was a double.. #59 Kenny Britt.

The Alphonso Smith card came out of the pack with a dent on one edge and two crunched corners.. but this 4 card pack came with a 5th card! Was it factory worker morals or cardboard karma?

The fifth card was another Matthew Stafford / Knowshon Moreno "Teammates" card. 21 cards out of this blaster so far and 4 of them are Staffords.. not bad.

Blaster Break: 2009 Press Pass Football pack 1 of 8

I found myself near a Target this morning and of course I took the opportunity to splurge! I had many blaster choices, but most were older, sets that I didn't have much more interest in. It came down to '09 Press Pass football or '09 Artifacts baseball.. and I went with a Press Pass blaster and a single pack of Artifacts to have a taste. I'll post Artifacts later but for now, here's the first Press Pass pack.

2009 Press Pass Football

Boy was I happy to see the card merchandiser doing his thing at my local supermarket yesterday after what seemed like months of no action. This store gets stuff in, but the rampant theft and pack searching really puts a damper on my options after just a few days. He put out some packs of '09 Goudey, '09 Press Pass Football and Press Pass Kiss trading cards. I took a Goudey and a Press Pass but no Kiss for me. I am not a fan.

After seeing them for myself, I'm going to agree with most of the other bloggers out there, Goudey is just plain ugly this year. I probably wont buy any more of it. Press Pass on the other hand was really nice.. great design, use of foil, nice inserts and parallels. I would consider completing this set if I didn't have so much else going on.
